Hello,
I'm Josh Henry, the owner of Southside Stickers, and I would like to give a brief history of how the company came to be.
When I was younger my grandfather and uncle raced dirt cars. They built everything in my grandfather’s shop, and I spent much of my time growing up in that shop. They always inspired me to be creative and hard-working. While they did all of the mechanical work on the cars, they also made the lettering and numbers for them. That’s where my fascination with graphic design started.
I gained the majority of my interest in graphic design while in high school. They offered a graphic design course at Sandy Creek High School, my alum, and while studying there I took three years of the course. I learned a great deal about graphic design in that class which really sparked my interest in building this company.
After graduating, I purchased a vinyl cutter to make decals for my friends’ trucks and, of course, my own. Before long, I was making decals for people around the country. Although the business was gaining revenue, I had to shut it down.
While working in construction in 2020, the workload slowed down tremendously due to Covid. During that time, I made our Instagram page to sell some decals to hopefully fire up the business again. Although I put tremendous effort into the page, it didn't do as well as I had hoped. I had no choice but to shut down again.
After ten years of doing construction I decided to take a leap of faith, and put my full effort into this company. While working in construction, I gained a considerable amount of business knowledge as well as a few carpentry tricks to help me further succeed in this business venture.
So the past two years, I've gathered up more information and supplies needed to help me run a successful business. I appreciate you checking out me and my website!
